Our fall semester of the first year of high school. Am I the only one who doesn't even remember most of these songs? I had to go to #19 just because "Pour Some Sugar on Me" was one of my favs...and I am still upset that my parents wouldn't let me go to the Def Leppard concert...even though "everyone" else in the whole school went...

The Six-Week Countdown Begins!

Below you will find a list of those who have already registered for the reunion. Please plan to join us! Some have asked if they can register only one person now and later pay to bring a date. Yes, that is fine! It would be especially helpful in that it will help us have a better grasp as to how many to expect. We know that many will wait until the last minute based on what is happening with work, a child's baseball tournament, etc. The more we know to prepare for ahead of time, the better. If you are receiving this and have already signed on to be at the reunion, please encourage others. We want this to be a great night out together! State of the reUnion

I write to share the state of the reunion and ask for your help through your immediate action. If you are receiving this, it is because you have expressed an interest in the reunion either through the Facebook invitation, the blog, or through email. When we initially began to plan, we anticipated that we would be able to gather at least 100 people (combination of classmates and dates) based on initial feedback on the Facebook page. Although the reunion is still two months away, we want to be confident that we will be able to meet the financial obligation of having reserved the Castlewoods Country Club.

You may also be receiving this because you have already paid, so THANK YOU! I wanted you to also be aware, so that you may help to encourage our classmates to attend. It is no secret that this event only happens every ten years, and what a loss it would be to not celebrate old friendships when given the opportunity.

Finally, we have decided we were seriously limiting the fun by limiting the gathering to only those in the Class of 1992. Why not include those in the Class of 1991, 1993, or other BHS grads who would savor the chance to gather for an evening? Spread the word! Was your best friend a year ahead of us? A year behind us? A Senior when we were freshmen? We don't care! Tell them to come and join the fun on June 16!

By no means is this email list inclusive of all who should be hearing about the reunion. In this day and age, we thought it silly to attempt to find all through the US Postal Service. We have used only Facebook, blog, email, personal conversations, "The Rankin County News," and information provided to the counselors at Brandon High School to communicate information about our reunion. Please continue to assume that others may not be informed if they are not on Facebook or have not made an effort to seek information on their own.
